Vallourec at ADIPEC 2025: Celebrating 60 Years of VAM®
Vallourec is set to showcase its latest innovations ADIPEC 2025, the world’s largest energy industry event, taking place from November 3–6 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This global gathering brings together industry leaders, government representatives and key players from across the energy sector. Celebrating 60 Years of VAM® Excellence
Since 1965, VAM® has played a crucial role in the Oil & Gas industry. Today, the VAM® connection portfolio not only ensures the integrity of oil & gas applications but also geothermal wells, as well as hydrogen and carbon storage projects, all while withstanding extreme conditions. Among the key highlights of VAM® technology is VAM® 21, the most advanced premium threaded and coupled connection available on the market. It is designed to suit any application, from conventional wells to ultra-high pressure and high-temperature environments including hydrogen and CCUS wells. VAM® 21 offers an exceptional range of sizes and grades, and more than 1,530,000 joints have been run worldwide. It is also validated according to the TWCCEP/ISO 12835 protocol for geothermal wells operating at temperatures up to 350°C.
More recently, Vallourec has developed the VAM® SPRINT series, specifically engineered for US shale applications, which includes VAM® SPRINT-SF, VAM® SPRINT-FJ, and VAM® SPRINT-TC. Continuing its commitment to innovation, Vallourec introduced VAM® XTRA in 2025, a new high-torque premium connection designed for long laterals of shale operations, reinforcing the Group’s leadership in advanced connection technology.
