Vallourec has been a key player in Middle East for more than 40 years. Our business activities in the region are mostly centered around the oil and gas sector that we address with 4 product lines:

  • OCTG pipes and accessories with VAM® connections
  • Line pipes for various onshore and offshore applications
  • Process pipes for petrochemicals and other processing applications
  • VAM® Field Service for onshore/offshore operations, engineering and supply chain services with a wide licensee network for repair and services
Since 2009, Vallourec has been expanding its presence through multiple acquisitions in UAE and Saudi Arabia. In 2011, thanks to the acquisition and industrialization of Vallourec Saudi Arabia (previously Zamil Pipes), Vallourec became the first OCTG market leader to have a premium finishing unit in the region, allowing to supply the world’s biggest oil company, Saudi Aramco, owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The same year, Vallourec opened Vallourec Middle East, a new sales platform located in Jebel Ali that was recently extended to bring corporate and commercial teams together, turning Dubai office into the regional headquarters for Middle East and Asia

Acquisition of VAM® Drilling Middle East FZE based in Jebel Ali

2009

Acquisition of VAM® Drilling Protools Oil Equipment Manufacturing in Abu Dhabi

2010

  • Opening of Vallourec Middle East FZE, a sales platform in Jebel Ali
  • Acquisition of SSPF in Dammam and first investment in a new premium threading line

  • Qualification of SSPF finishing unit, including a heat treatment unit, a premium threading unit, and a sleeve manufacturing unit
