Vallourec entered in Asia pacific in 1989 through PT Citra Tubindo (PTCT) in Batam, Indonesia, that Vallourec holds 81.7%. In under 30 years, PTCT has grown from a local company into a world class partner of Vallourec throughout Asia Pacific area and beyond.

Vallourec Group with its Regional Hub PT Citra Tubindo is ideally located to serve the Oil and Gas companies. Thanks to our vertically integrated mills, PTCT procures pipes from mills in Europe, China and Brazil. PTCT is capable to provide heat treatment and the full VAM® product line and all associated support and services. This includes high seamless “Oil Country Tubular Goods” (OCTG), Line Pipe with API and Premium connections, covering all the applications from conventional onshore to offshore deep-water, HPHT, extended reach and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). The Group also has an office in Jakarta.
MalaysiaIn Malaysia, Vallourec has a strong local base of approx. 140 employees through our subsidiary company Serimax having a Welding workshop set-up in Pasir Gudang and office in Kuala Lumpur as part of Vallourec’s 1,500 employees in APAC excluding China. Vallourec is supporting the major OEMs in Singapore hub with its Accessories Threading facility in Marsiling (Woodlands). Singapore is also the sales hub headquarters of Vallourec for the region.
South Korea & Japan
With our Branch office located in Seoul, hosting local workforce, together with our network of commercial partners in South Korea and Japan, Vallourec has been able to win major contracts with key customers in different fields: from power plant to offshore construction. South Korea and Japan remain export-oriented markets with many business opportunities to catch in the future. Our partnership with Seonghwa, a Korean piping manufacturer, (hot expanded pipes), dedicated to process pipes and power pipes.
Long presence in India through exclusive Indian representatives, catering to Oil & Gas, Power and Industry markets, with major projects won in all these markets over the years. Augmented by local commercial presence since 2013.
Vallourec and our automatic welding solutions provider Serimax are deeply networked in Australian Oil & Gas industry from last few years. Our performance in some of the very challenging projects such as Greater Enfield, Devil Creek, Gorgon, Greater Western Flank, Montara etc., down under there are very well appreciated.
Tubular Solutions Covering the Entire Chain
Vallourec through its Regional Hub PTCT – ideally located in a free zone - can manage and support Total Tubular Management Solutions (TTMS) by holding a stock of green pipes and / or finished pipes in Batam. Thanks to our VAM® Far East team located in Singapore we are able to provide Field Services including running supervision, pipe yard inspections and tools rentals. Finally our VAM® Licenses network enable us to offer local repair capabilities in most of Asia Pacific countries.
