History
Vallourec begins operations in the United States with the creation of Vallourec, Inc., a Houston based sales office for VAM® joints as well as other tubular products.
Creation of VAM® PTS (Premium Threading Services) in Houston, Texas, a company specializing in the development and threading of VAM® connections on the US market.
Vallourec acquires North Star Steel in the US, an integrated seamless steel tube manufacturer, significantly strengthening the Group's industrial and commercial presence in the North American market.
Acquisition of OMSCO (today Vallourec Drilling Products USA) in Houston (Texas), a fully integrated provider of drill stem products based in Houston.
Acquisition of Atlas Bradford® (connections), TCA® (heat treatment), and Tube-Alloy® (accessories), three companies specializing in oil and gas applications.
Start construction of the new, state-of-the-art, rolling mill in Youngstown, Ohio, in response to unconventional oil and gas plays' demand for small diameter pipe.
VAM® USA Research & Development: doubling of the Connection Technology Center capacity in Houston, Texas.
The new small diameter pipe mill in Youngstown, Ohio ships it first pipe.
VAM® USA begins the construction of a new threading facility in Youngstown, Ohio.[CL1] [GJ2]
