The Energy & Industry (E&I) division oversees Vallourec's hot-rolled seamless tubes activities in Europe and China, designing and manufacturing a wide range of tubular solutions for energy and industry sectors all over the world.

 E&I division's sales activity

 It is organized as two branches serving different applications.

• The Energy branch serves the power generation and petrochemical markets, and produces offshore line-pipes for the oil and gas industry
• The Industry branch produces solutions for the mechanical engineering, automotive and construction industries.

The division also sells semi-finished  products (known as "hollows") to external customers (in particular,  hollows for redrawing for the mechanical engineering and automotive industries) and other Vallourec Group divisions (for example, hollows for OCTG tubes sold to the Oil & Gas division, and hollows for fittings and bearing tubes sold to the Speciality Products division).

Plants and production facilities

 The E&I division operates seven tube mills, located in France (in Saint Saulve, Aulnoye and Déville) and Germany (one in Reisholz and Mülheim, and two in Rath). Together, these plants produce tubes in the widest range of diameters (21.3 to 1,500 mm) and thicknesses (2 to 250 mm) anywhere in the world.

E&I also produces its own steel, in all the necessary grades and qualities, at its own electric steel mill in Saint Saulve (France) and the HKM steel mill in Duisbourg (Germany), in which Vallourec owns a 20% stake.

E&I also has finishing equipment for its product lines at each of its rolling mills, as well as a finishing shop in China. These facilities enable it to provide customers with sophisticated solutions and goods of a consistently excellent standard.
