The OCTG division (Oil Country Tubular Goods) designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of tubular solutions and accessories for the equipment of oil and gas wells collectively packaged under the name "VAM Global Solutions".
Activities
The OCTG division produces and markets products and solutions for equipping oil and gas wells: casing, tubing, risers for deep offshore drilling, and accessories. All of these products, made from hot-rolled seamless tubes, are equipped with API-Buttress threaded connections or, more often, premium joints from the VAM® product line. VAM® is the world leader in premium joints, which have been designed and developed by Vallourec for more than 40 years. This Division is divided into three different geographic regions: Europe/Africa/Middle East (EAME), North America and Far-East.
The division’s activities are supported by a network of 164 VAM® licensees (figure at end-2009) and by well site assistance teams (VAM Field Services) who ensure the worldwide availability of services specifically tailored to local needs.
