World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) sets records for number of exhibitors and visitors

At the end of June, the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris ended with new records in the number of exhibitors and visitors. Vallourec participated with its Nuclear Island Tubes and Steam Tubes & Pipes divisions and was delighted to welcome to its stand Emmanuel Macron, the French Minister for Economy and Finance.
Under the motto ‘The nuclear industry in the global energy mix’, WNE 2016 was a truly international event, with more than 61 % of its visitors coming from abroad. In fact, visitors reached a record high (+22 %), among them many of high caliber.
In his opening address, Emmanuel Macron emphasized the dynamic nature of the nuclear sector and confirmed that "nuclear power, far from being confined to the past, is very definitely an option that addresses the challenges of the 21st century […]. It is also at the center of environmental and climate considerations because it makes decarbonized electricity generation possible in France."
