In Youngstown, Ohio (United States) the construction of the new small diameter tube mill will is progressing well. The start-up of the state-of-the-art rolling mill and testing of the entire production chain will soon take place.

With a production of 350,000 tonnes of tubes per year, this new plant will complete the range of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) products and increase the capacity of our subsidiary V & M Star. It supports the increased demand from the exploitation of unconventional gas resources in North America.

This new facility will ramp-up in phases and will be complemented by the project to construct a new premium threading facility with the first VAM manufacturing line operational during this year, and multiple lines operating by the end of 2013. Overall, these two new plants will create around 450 new direct jobs.
