In November, Vallourec Korea organized two seminars, one in Vietnam, the other one in Indonesia. They gathered in total over 235 participants, including management and engineering divisions of local utilities, local boiler makers and engineering design institutes.
Vice Presidents of local utilities and the French Ambassadors in Vietnam and Indonesia shared their visions about market evolution, conditions for better power plant efficiency and cleaner energy.
Vallourec presented its regional partnerships and main local references, especially ultra-supercritical thermal power plant projects. Thomas Comte, President of Vallourec Korea branch & Vice President Southeast Asia for Power, declared: "These seminars aim to create a virtuous Bridge between Vallourec - number one in the market for seamless tubes dedicated to power generation – and the Korean and Japanese EPC* companies who are leading the Southeast Asian power market, together with local utilities in Vietnam and Indonesia that are demanding more premium technologies for their future power plants."
Vallourec also introduced its long run technical know-how, latest innovations and current R&D activities destined to improve thermal power plant efficiency and extending their lifespan. "Vallourec has clearly demonstrated that it does not only offer the widest range of materials and dimensions enabling the best choice for its customers, but also the best possible services and solutions," says Mahmud Jarrar, Vallourec Powergen R&D Director. "With our current material developments such as VALIOR and our service offer, we are able to distribute the most suitable solutions and support (including training and inspection)."
