The extension of the V & M pipe plant in Changzhou, China was officially inaugurated on Thursday 13 Sept. 2012 in the presence of Ms. Sylvie Bermann, French Ambassador to China, Mr. Zhang Weiguo, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Mr. Dai Yuan, Vice Party Secretary of Changzhou City, and Philippe Crouzet, Chairman of Vallourec’s Management Board.

 

Located in the Jiangsu coastal province, this extension will be dedicated to the production of large diameter, premium seamless pipes, specifically designed to meet the needs of the new generation power plants. It is an addition to the existing state-of-the-art finishing mill.


Vallourec has been committed for a long time in Changzhou area, where the company is a recognized and experienced expert of solutions for nuclear and conventional (supercritical and ultra supercritical) power plants which need stainless premium tubes able to resist to corrosion and high temperature and pressure constraints.
